At Active Minds, we are delighted to introduce our Learning Support Club, available from 3:30–4:30 pm ⏰, with an extended session until 5:30 pm ⏳ for families who require additional support.

Our club provides a calm, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can complete their homework with guidance from experienced tutors 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫. This helps to reduce pressure at home while ensuring children fully understand their learning and complete tasks with confidence.

Beyond homework, we focus on strengthening core academic skills across the curriculum. Pupils will receive targeted support in Mental Maths ➕➖, SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar ✍️), and Non-Verbal Reasoning 🧩, helping to build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and reinforce classroom learning.

👥 Group Structure

To ensure every child receives appropriate support, pupils are taught in small, age-appropriate groups:

KS1 📖 – Early literacy and numeracy foundations, confidence building, and guided support
Years 3–4 📘 – Developing core skills in maths, SPaG, and reasoning with increased independence
Years 5–6 📗 – Advanced support, exam-style practice, and strengthening key academic skills

Our aim is not only to help children complete their homework, but to close learning gaps, strengthen essential skills, and develop confident, independent learners who are well prepared for success in the classroom 🌟.

Note: Homework will be completed where students have assigned homework and bring the relevant worksheets or materials with them. Where no assigned homework is provided, age- and year-group-appropriate worksheets and learning activities will be provided to support and reinforce students’ learning.

💳 Important Payment Information

If you are eligible for Universal Credit, Tax-Free Childcare, a student grant, or use childcare voucher schemes such as Care4, Edenred, Computershare, or any other childcare voucher provider, please do not make payment through this portal.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: Once a place has been booked for a specific Active Minds or Sports Menders activity, the booking is non-refundable if you cancel or your child does not attend. If we cancel the activity, we will offer a full suitable alternative. This policy does not affect your statutory rights.
