At Active Minds, we are delighted to introduce our Homework & Learning Support Club – an extended after-school club running from 4:30pm to 5:30pm ⏰. This additional hour ⏳ provides children with a calm, supportive environment to complete homework, develop independent learning skills, and receive guidance from our experienced staff. It is the perfect option for families who require a later collection time while ensuring their child enjoys a productive and engaging end to the school day. 📚✏️





Our club provides a calm, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can complete their homework with guidance from experienced tutors 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫. This helps to reduce pressure at home while ensuring children fully understand their learning and complete tasks with confidence.

Beyond homework, we focus on strengthening core academic skills across the curriculum. Pupils will receive targeted support in Mental Maths ➕➖, SPaG (Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar ✍️), and Non-Verbal Reasoning 🧩, helping to build confidence, improve problem-solving skills, and reinforce classroom learning.

👥 Group Structure

To ensure every child receives appropriate support, pupils are taught in small, age-appropriate groups:

KS1 📖 – Early literacy and numeracy foundations, confidence building, and guided support
Years 3–4 📘 – Developing core skills in maths, SPaG, and reasoning with increased independence
Years 5–6 📗 – Advanced support, exam-style practice, and strengthening key academic skills

Our aim is not only to help children complete their homework, but to close learning gaps, strengthen essential skills, and develop confident, independent learners who are well prepared for success in the classroom 🌟.
